The FLE or floating lens element was the second version of this popular lens. The first version was produced from 1982-1989 when the 2nd version started. My example is one of the last dating to 1997. This version also stops down to F32 where the earlier version was F22 . It is in superb very near mint condition with both caps.I think it would be very hard to find a better one !.
